They are for now at least. They're bothed loved and spoiled, and their personalities couldn't be any more opposite. Autumn (the one on the left) has the personality of Rose from
The Golden Girls, while Stormy (the one on the right) has the personality of Dorothy from the same show.
My wife has referred to them as "Odie and Garfield." I must say they keep us humble...we clean their litter box, that keeps anyone humble. Autumn is known to get a little, er, melodramatic; especially if she thinks she hungry. Virtually everytime you stand up from your seat, she thinks you are going to feed her. You can almost hear one of those little sad violins playing as she's doing her little show:
MEOW! Mister, can you spare a morsel of food? I think my throat's dry! I'm weak! You can see my ribs, look! I haven't had anything to eat in soooooooo long! I think I'm dyin'! Are the light's fading? Oh, woe is me! Good-bye cruel world! MEOW! Meanwhile, Stormy just roles her eyes and walks away.
They're sometimes funny, sometimes annoying, but always precious. I'll never forget the day we rescued them from the animal shelter. They were so tiny, so fragile, so dependent on us, and so trusting in us.
Yeah, it's humbling.
