Friday Baby Blogging

Alastair has had his two month check-up yesterday. Other than a heart murmur, he's in perfect health. We're going to a cardiologist next month to do an EKG on him and check out the heart murmur. From what the doctor said, more than likely it's perfectly harmless and he'll grow out of it. Of course, upon hearing the news, I had to sit down and take a Xanax. But I'm being told it's pretty much not anything to worry about.

But hey, give me credit: I'm not as freaky about that sort of news as I used to be. As a matter of fact, the last time my BP was checked, it was 116/76. Pretty good, eh?

In other news, I just received an official email from the George Washington University. I've been accepted to the Graduate School of Education and Human Development to work on a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration. Yay!

Meanwhile, here's another pic of my beautiful little boy.

Congrats on the acceptance but does that mean you are moving yet again?

Oh no, no, no! GWU has a Grad center here in Hampton Roads.

But when I graduate, I'll get to go to DC for the ceremony, with the Capitol building in the backdrop.

Of course, we'd move back to Pittsburgh in a heartbeat, if we knew I could find work there. May be after I graduate it will be worth applying back up there.
